On August 3 (local time), the seventh annual “World Dog Surfing Championships” was held in California, USA. Over 6,000 spectators gathered on the beach and about 20 surfing dogs competed in the event.

The event consisted of eight divisions, including “SUP (Stand Up Paddle),” “Dog & Dog Carpooling,” “Dog & Human Carpooling,” and “Overall,” in addition to four categories by size. In between the competitions, there was a fashion contest for the cutest dogs,” said a local resident.

While the world was abuzz with excitement over the Paris Olympics, the gold medalist in this competition was Cacau, a brown Labrador retriever, who won in four categories.

Let’s enjoy the courage of these super-cool surfing dogs!
