Hashimoto is on his way to Abe’s home. She is holding an onigiri (rice ball) in her left hand. She was communicating with Abe and seemed to be unable to let go of her phone throughout the trip.

Behind her remarkable feat must have been the support of the love of her life.

Abe Hifumi, 27, won his second consecutive gold medal in the men’s 66kg judo event at the Paris Olympics. Watching from the stands was his girlfriend, Rina Hashimoto (30), known as “Japan’s blackest gradol. In Paris, she supported Abe by cheering him on, but in Japan, she showed even more devoted support.

One night before the start of the Olympics, Hashimoto left work and headed straight for Abe’s apartment. Two rice balls can be seen in Hashimoto’s hands. The clock was about to strike midnight, but it was probably a gift for her boyfriend. With accustomed gait, she entered the “love nest.

Since FRIDAY first reported their cohabitation in January 2011, the two have been in a steady relationship. However, there have been some changes in their lives.

Hashimoto lives at Abe’s house and Abe lives at Hashimoto’s house. Hashimoto lives in a separate apartment a short distance away from Abe’s home. But it is not because they had a fight, but it is a decision made after discussing it in order to concentrate on the competition.
This time, Hashimoto wore a T-shirt that said “TEAM ABE” and was also worn by Abe’s family to support him. They are already in a relationship that is officially approved by their parents. We may hear a report of their marriage around next spring, when they will have been dating for three years,” said an acquaintance of Hashimoto.

The day is near when their devotion and love will bear fruit in their personal lives as well.
