Rina Hashimoto Supports Gold Medalist Hifumi Abe
Japan's blackest gravure idol goes to her "love nest" after work - Devotion witnessed only by FRIDAY just before the Paris Olympics
Behind this remarkable achievement, there must have been the support of a beloved person.
Hifumi Abe (27), who won consecutive gold medals in the men’s 66kg judo category at the Paris Olympics, had his moment watched from the audience by his girlfriend, Rina Hashimoto (30), known as “Japan’s darkest gravure idol.” While she supported him with cheers in Paris, she had been showing even more devoted support back in Japan.
One night before the Olympics began, Hashimoto, having finished her work, headed straight to Abe’s apartment. She was carrying two rice balls. Although it was just past midnight, it was clearly a thoughtful gesture for her partner. She entered their “love nest” with familiar steps.
Since FRIDAY first reported their cohabitation in January 2023, the couple has been enjoying a smooth relationship. However, their living situation has seen some changes.
“They are not currently living together. Hashimoto is staying in a different apartment a bit away from Abe’s place. It’s not due to any argument but rather a decision made after discussing how to focus on the competition. Hashimoto was seen wearing a T-shirt with ‘TEAM ABE’ written on it, which was also worn by Abe’s family. Their relationship is already approved by both parents. With their three-year relationship milestone approaching next spring, we might hear about a wedding announcement soon.” (said a friend of Hashimoto)
The day when their devoted love bears fruit in their private lives seems to be near.
