420 appearances a year! The secret behind Michipa’s charm that keeps getting her offers

This is a photo taken in August 2008. …… The number of regular and semi-regular programs in which Miyu Ikeda (23), aka Michipa, appears is easily over 10. In the “2021 TV Program Appearance Ranking” released by Nihon Monitor on December 1, she was ranked 8th with 420 appearances (the second most among women after Hwa-chan). There is hardly a day that goes by that I don’t see her on TV.

It was in July of 2008 that I discovered her. It was at NHK in Shibuya, Tokyo. Michipa was sitting in the hedge of the porch roundabout. A female staff member snapped the shutter of her smartphone as she pulled her hair up over her shoulders from her white shirt.　It seems she was taking a photo for her Instagram. When the photo of her brushing her hair up was uploaded on her Instagram, it was immediately liked by 50,000 people. on her Instagram. Her ability as an influencer is probably one of the reasons why she keeps getting offers.

In November of this year, when Michipa showed up at LINE’s new service and commercial launch event, the media people in the hall cheered and said “Oh! She was wearing a Santa Claus-style red mini dress and long black boots. It was the perfect costume for her cute atmosphere.

It was just a normal red dress with a round top added by the stylist, and I realized that there was a way to dress like this. I was impressed by how simple it was to make. I’m thrilled.”
