A Popular Korean Singer’s Drug Use, Two-Timing, and Drunk Driving Scandal Continues

The office of popular Korean singer Nam Tae-hyun (28) issued an apology on March 10.

Nam’s mistake was drunk driving: in the early hours of March 8, he drove his car after drinking with friends in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, a trendy spot in Seoul. When he opened the door, he hit and damaged the side mirror of a moving cab.

Upon receiving the report, police measured Nam’s blood alcohol level and found it to be 0.114%, above the license revocation level (0.08%). The police will identify Nam and send him home, but he will be questioned in the future. The cab driver paid about 30,000 yen to settle the case.

According to reports in the Korean media, Nam continued to drive the car for several dozen meters after the accident with the cab.
