 The office of popular Korean singer Nam Tae-hyun (28) issued an apology on March 10.

 Nam&#8217;s mistake was drunk driving: in the early hours of March 8, he drove his car after drinking with friends in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, a trendy spot in Seoul. When he opened the door, he hit and damaged the side mirror of a moving cab.
 Upon receiving the report, police measured Nam&#8217;s blood alcohol level and found it to be 0.114%, above the license revocation level (0.08%). The police will identify Nam and send him home, but he will be questioned in the future. The cab driver paid about 30,000 yen to settle the case.
 According to reports in the Korean media, Nam continued to drive the car for several dozen meters after the accident with the cab. His office admitted to driving under the influence but denied some of the charges. Nam claims that he drove the car not dozens of meters, but moved the car about 5 meters and parked it.

 Nam is a popular singer who debuted as a member of the male idol group WINNER in August 2014 and has released albums in Japan. However, he left the group in November 2016 after about two years, citing &#8220;psychological problems&#8221;. Since then, he has caused a stir with his frequent scandals.
 &#8216;In June 2019, there will be a two-timing scandal. Singer Jang Jae-in, who was in a relationship at the time, revealed on his Instagram that Nam was seeing another woman. He made public Nam&#8217;s social networking exchanges with the woman he was cheating on her with. Nam apologized, saying, &#8220;I sincerely apologize to Jang Jae-in and the other women who were hurt.
 In August of last year, allegations of drug use surfaced. Seo Min-jae, a TV personality and influencer who was dating Nam Tae-hyun at the time, wrote on her Instagram page, &#8220;Nam Tae-hyun is a heroine. Nam Tae-hyun is on heropon, and there is a used syringe in the cabinet in my room. He beats me up. Seo Min-jae&#8217;s feelings became anxious after his fight with Nam. He also confessed that he had been taking a lot of tranquilizers.
 Nam said, &#8220;I had a conflict with my girlfriend at the time, but we reconciled. He apologized for worrying about his private problems. However, he made no mention of drugs.
 Nam is currently the vocalist for the music band South Club. However, the police are now investigating him for drug use and driving under the influence. Worst of all, there is a possibility of arrest. It will be very difficult for him to continue his activities as an artist.
 Nam&#8217;s image has been tarnished by a series of scandals. It will take a long time for him to regain the trust of his fans.
