Sexy Zone Nakajima’s Popularity Cannot be Stopped with Upcoming Multiple Projects!

So says Kento Nakajima, 28, of Sexy Zone. On March 28, he attended the presentation of a new commercial for the smartphone app game “Monster Strike” in Tokyo, where he excitedly talked about the game’s appeal. Speaking of Nakajima, he appeared in the “WOWOW” broadcast of “Live Broadcast!　His comments at the 94th Academy Awards ceremony became the talk of the town.

He commented, ‘I don’t approve of his actions, but I want to believe in his beliefs,’ after watching Will Smith (53) slap presenter Chris Rock (57). It was a spur-of-the-moment comment made on live television, and his tactful response, which neither criticized nor affirmed his actions, was highly praised.

Behind the acclaim for this response is the fact that Nakajima’s group is gaining recognition as a new generation of idols.

“Sexy Zone” was launched around 2011. Fans have changed their terminology from “Sexy Girls” to “Sexy Lovers.” He himself said, “Both men and women carry princesses in their arms. I think that is the idol of today.

At the presentation, a professional taught him some tricks, and he said, “Dynamic fingers!” In March alone, Nakajima has announced four new commercials, and is on his way to becoming a successful idol of the new era.
