 In 2004, he won the &#8220;R-1 Guranpuri&#8221; competition. He has won the popular TV variety show &#8220;Documental&#8221; three times, and has served as a judge for &#8220;R-1&#8221; for four consecutive years since 2009. Surprisingly, however, Zakoshi&#8217;s breakthrough came late, in the 24th year after his debut, and he celebrated his 50th birthday in February 2012.
 He said, &#8220;Fifty is a milestone. From now on, I want to concentrate on &#8216;what I truly want to do. I sometimes receive offers to work as an actor, but I am too shy to act seriously (laughs).
 Right now, of all my work, this crown program has the highest priority. For the time being, it is scheduled to air once a month until March, but I hear it will continue if it is well received. I have a crazy strong feeling that I don&#8217;t want the show to end. I want this to be a program that lasts a lifetime.&#8221;

 He is more stoic than anyone else in his approach to comedy. Zakoshi confided with a serious look in his eyes, &#8220;Where does the driving force come from?
 I don&#8217;t have anything else I want to do besides comedy. That&#8217;s why I really hate it when I can&#8217;t do comedy because of a scandal. As SHIMOFURI MYOJO&#8217;s Goshina (31) said, there are a lot of people who have been disappearing from the entertainment industry recently after causing problems with &#8220;chinbo. That&#8217;s why I don&#8217;t go to drinking parties with women. I have wanted to do comedy since I was a student, and there was a time when I thought, &#8216;If I can&#8217;t do it, I may as well die. I am prepared to die with comedy.&#8221;

 With a grim expression on his face, Zakoshi continued, &#8220;You must always make an impact on the audience. Although it is hard to imagine from his sometimes insane performances, Zakoshi says that he does not miss his daily ego search.
 As soon as I wake up, I search for myself on social networking sites. Whenever I have free time, all I do is ego-search (laughs). Even if there are only critical comments on social networking sites, it is better than no response at all. After the first broadcast of &#8220;Zakoshi&#8217;s Crown Zakoshi&#8217;s Crown Zakoshi,&#8221; I found comments like, &#8220;You&#8217;re really aggressive,&#8221; and &#8220;The opening theme is by Denki Groove, who are from my hometown in Shizuoka, so it&#8217;s really Shizuoka.
 Zakoshi, who emphasized many times during the interview that &#8220;you have to do the kind of comedy you really want to do, the kind with weight on it,&#8221; has reached his 50th birthday, and the perfect environment has been created for him.
