Tomoya Nagase Guests at Motorcycle Event in Yokohama with “Long Hair with Mesh and Wild Beard” Where is he coming back?

The voltage of the venue reached its peak when a super-cool custom car appeared with a roar of its engine.

It was Tomoya Nagase, 45, a former member of “Tokio,” with long gold mesh hair and a wild stubble beard.

On a weekend in early December, the Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2023 was held in Yokohama. Nagase, known for his unrivaled love of motorcycles, was a guest at Japan’s largest custom show for cars and motorcycles, which is attracting worldwide attention.

Nagase formed a new band, “Kode Talkers,” in February this year. His music activities, which he has been pursuing since leaving his old agency, have blossomed, and he released an album in June. It seems that he chooses to work with what is comfortable in his life, such as “music” and “motorcycles,”” says entertainment reporter Chikako Komai.

Nagase left the company in ’21 at the age of 42 and retired from the public stage. Will he ever return to acting?

The key person for his return is probably screenwriter Kudo Kankuro (53). His “Ore no Ie no Hanashi” (TBS), which aired two years ago, was in fact Nagase’s last work on TV. There is a strong bond between the two, who have worked together on various productions.

Nagase’s free style, unrestrained by titles, is the Nagase way.
