“You should eat chicken.”

On October 10, Kondo appeared in public for the first time since the birth of her third child. At the opening event of “Kagome Kenko Chokusoubin Farm,” when asked about her husband Ota, Kondo said:

“My husband is the same as always. He rode his mama bike today to take our second daughter to kindergarten. He is pedaling his bike energetically.”

“In any form, my husband remains unchanged, so I want to support him like the sun shining down.”

She emphasized that she is his “biggest supporter.” Furthermore, she stated, “My husband is all about chicken, so I think he should eat chicken,” adding, “As his wife, I want to manage his health.”

“There are many in the industry who sympathize with her, hearing that Kondo is really in love with Ota and was quite shocked. Nevertheless, her appearance acting lively as if nothing happened draws sympathy from many. She is a commentator on a local TV wide show, and her comments filled with information and everyday life resonate with viewers.

In talk variety shows, couples sometimes share stories from their home life, and there are programs like ‘Ravit!’ (TBS) where couples appear together. Last year, they appeared together in a detergent commercial. Of course, this is all due to Kondo’s high favorability, which has led to these offers. Because of this, Ota’s image as a supportive father is also highly regarded by sponsors. Voices supporting the couple are growing within the industry, with some saying, ‘From now on, Chihiro Kondo might be the one to support Jungle Pocket economically and mentally.’” (advertising industry insider).

Ota doesn’t seem to be simply moping around, as:

“It seems Ota knew this situation was coming for quite some time, and without a doubt, the comedian spirit has been ignited. He can no longer rely on Saito’s character, so he has to find a way to bring Otake to life. It’s as if he’s resolved that he must go for the laughs himself, and he’s fully focused,” said an entertainment insider.

While not exactly a stroke of luck, the atmosphere in the TV industry is increasingly supportive of this couple, and it’s certain that they will have more appearances in the future. After all, even for comedians, seriousness in private life seems to be the most important.
