On a night in late July, at Nippon Broadcasting System (Yurakucho, Tokyo), a recording of “Pierre Taki and Jin Aoi’s All-Night Nippon GOLD” was taking place. Ayano was there as a guest to promote his hit drama “Ground Master” on the streaming service Netflix. After the recording, Ayano emerged from the building, gave a slight nod to the staff, and walked while casting glances around. He exuded an intense aura that was almost reminiscent of a real “ground master.”

“The series is based on the novel ‘Ground Masters’ (Shueisha), which depicts the 2017 Sekisui House ground master fraud case. It quickly climbed to the top of domestic streaming rankings right after its release and has become a hot topic. Etsushi Toyokawa plays the leader of the ground master group, while Ayano stars as Takumi Tsujimoto, the on-site leader responsible for negotiations.

Pierre Taki, the All-Night MC, also appears as a member of the ground master group, and since Jin Aoi is the director, it seems that all the cast members wore ‘Ground Masters’ limited edition T-shirts for the recording on the day.” (Sports newspaper reporter)

Indeed, if you look closely at the T-shirt Ayano is wearing, it features a print of a man in traditional Japanese clothing attempting to remove a Fukuzawa Yukichi mask in front of stacks of bills designed to look like high-rise buildings, with the title written in Roman letters as “Jimenshitachi.”

The drama has received rave reviews from celebrities such as Hiroiki Ariyoshi and Emiko Ueno, marking a notable success for Ayano. The original novel “Ground Masters” has already had a sequel published, and there is growing anticipation for a continuation of the drama. However,

“Speaking of Ayano, he welcomed his first child with Yui Sakuma (29) in March of this year. Ayano reported through his personal mobile site that both mother and child are healthy and enjoying peaceful and restful times.

This year, he has already finished filming for the movies ‘Maru’ and ‘Honshin,’ set to be released this fall. It is said that he might take the rest of the year off to spend time with his family.” (previous reporter)

We look forward to his activities upon his return.
