The defendant told the court about his selfish motive for committing the crime.

On July 4, the Yokohama District Court (Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) held the first trial of Yuya Nozaki, 29, an unemployed defendant accused of aiding the suicide of a junior high school girl. In September 2010, Nozaki kidnapped a suicidal junior high school girl in Yokohama, whom he met on a social networking service, for the purpose of indecent assault. He allegedly took her from his home in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture, to a bridge in Sagamihara City by car and forced her to climb over a railing.

Nozaki admitted to the indictment and said, ‘I have met five to six suicidal women. The prosecution dismissed Nozaki’s crime as follows. The prosecutor’s office concluded that Nozaki had committed the crime by saying, “He had achieved his goal of having sexual intercourse with the victim, and he suggested suicide because he thought that if the victim died, his criminal act would be undetected.

FRIDAY Digital reported the incident in detail in an article distributed on October 20, 2010. We would like to recount Nozaki’s selfish motive and abnormal obsession with women.

Staying at home with a girl for several days

On the afternoon of October 3, 2010, I opened the front door and bumped into an investigator. He said, ‘Excuse me, I’m from the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Department. He said his name was ‘Kanagawa Prefectural Police. I thought something had happened. There were more than a dozen investigators, and they had put a blue sheet down in the passageway and were taking stuff out of the next room. The investigation went on for about four days.

A resident who lives next door to the defendant’s house told the reporter, “On October 17, the Kanagawa Prefectural Police called the police to investigate the case.

On October 17, the Kanagawa Prefectural Police re-arrested Nozaki. On September 27, the prefectural police also arrested Nozaki on suspicion of kidnapping a minor for taking a junior high school girl, A, around with him. Security camera footage showed that the two had been working together.

On September 23, Nozaki took Ms. A by car to a bridge over a mountainous area in Sagamihara City, presumably to help her commit suicide.

There are houses nearby and heavy traffic during the day, but it was raining heavily that day; it is believed that Ms. A jumped into the river from this bridge. The family had reported her missing, so the prefectural police investigated the area and found her body on September 29.

When Nozaki was first arrested, he explained that he had only dropped her off at the scene of the crime because he had been told that it was near her home. Later, as the investigation progressed, he admitted the crime, saying, “There is no doubt about it.

Nozaki also stated, “I was told that the girl was suicidal, so I just dropped her off near the scene. I was looking for a girl on SNS who was suicidal. The one I was able to lure out happened to be a junior high school girl. He was using multiple SNS accounts. However, he deleted most of them immediately after the incident, and it is believed that he tried to conceal his connection with Ms. A.

According to a female acquaintance from elementary and junior high school, Nozaki used SNS to contact her relentlessly. She said that Nozaki used social networking sites to persistently contact her, asking her to introduce him to girls, “How about you? I replied, “I’m looking for a girlfriend right now. When I replied, he sent me more insistent messages, saying, “I don’t have a girlfriend right now,” and “Do something about it. I have heard that many women got fed up and stopped contacting him.

The man who played with the girl’s fate out of selfish desire bears a heavy burden of guilt.
