[Scoop] Kei Komuro to meet mother’s ex-fiancee to negotiate ‘financial issues’

Kei Komuro, 30, has finally made his move.

Today, November 12, from 8:00 p.m., Mr. Komuro will hold face-to-face negotiations with the former fiancee of Mr. Komuro’s mother, Kayo, in Tokyo. This will be the first meeting between the two since the “4 million yen financial trouble” between the Komuro family and the former fiancee was reported in 2005, a source on the former fiancee’s side revealed.

The negotiations came about after a representative of the Komuro family stated in April this year that they were ready to pay a settlement. The former fiancée’s side had sought to negotiate with Ms. Kayo, but due to Ms. Kayo’s health condition, the Komuro family side had approached Ms. Komuro herself for “direct negotiations.

The two sides had been communicating about the date of the negotiations since before the wedding press conference on October 26. At one point, it was agreed that the negotiations would be held in early November, but it is believed that the Komuro family asked for a postponement in light of the health condition of Tatsuhiko Kawashima, who passed away on November 4.

In today’s negotiations, Mr. Komuro is expected to offer to pay the settlement directly to his former fiancee.
