Shinobu Tsukasa appeared at Tokyo Station. A male passerby was also involuntarily shaken.

On June 2, just after 3:00 p.m., police officers in suits were standing guard around the Yaesu Central Exit of Tokyo Station. There was also a young gang member carrying a briefcase that appeared to contain steel plates. Passersby were curious.

Shortly before 16:00, a man came out of the station, surrounded by strong men. He was Tsukasa Shinobu, head of the Yamaguchi Gumi VI. Tsukasa was dressed in a gray suit, black tie, and sunglasses. Waiting passersby were stunned.

Shomei Takeuchi, assistant head of the Yamaguchigumi VI, had been waiting at the Yaesu exit for some time. It is believed that his purpose was to greet Mr. Tsukasa. Mr. Tsukasa and Mr. Takeuchi got into the car that picked them up and drove away.

Mr. Takeuchi’s assistant head welcomed Mr. Tsukasa at Tokyo Station.
On that day, the funeral of Isao Seki, the head of the Sumiyoshi-kai, who passed away at the age of 76, was held in Tomisato City, Chiba Prefecture. Mr. Tsukasa was believed to have taken the Shinkansen bullet train to Tokyo and drove there.

On the evening of the 2nd, the front of the Kyowa Family’s headquarters in Tomisato City, Chiba Prefecture, was crowded with members. In front of the building was a huge sign that read, “Seki Isao Gi, Funeral Ceremony Site”. It appears that the funeral was held in the Kyowa Family, Seki’s home organization,

Around 7:30 p.m., the cars of Mr. Tsukasa and Mr. Takeuchi arrived at the funeral to offer their condolences and immediately left after ten minutes. They immediately got into the car again and drove away.

The reason for the swift visit is when former Kyokutokai President Shinichi Matsuyama passed away in early May, the funeral was held as a family funeral rather than a funeral with the association. It is said that this was an initiative from the police, who considered the risk of an attack by the many top leaders of each organization showing up at the funeral. Yamaguchigumi and Sumiyoshi-kai had a non-negotiable relationship until Mr. Seki assumed the position of chairman and continued to maintain their friendly relations. As for Mr. Tsukasa, he cannot miss this girijoba because of their longstanding relationship.

Staying for a long time may alarm the police about a possible attack. However, the top leaders still paid their respects.

Back in early May, an attack occurred in which a vehicle crashed into the home of the number two of the Kobe Yamaguchigumi. This might be the start of war again between groups.
