It was a shocking announcement.
On February 9, NHK announced program revisions and major new anchors starting in April. Mayuko Wakuda, 33, an ace TV announcer, will leave &#8220;News Watch 9&#8221; and will no longer be in charge of the program. The Internet has been lamenting the &#8220;Waku Mayu Loss.

Another ace, Maho Kuwako, 34, will become the anchor of the news program &#8220;Close-Up Today.
 Previously, Yuko Kuniya was the anchor for this NHK signature program. The program used to air at 10:00 p.m., but the time has been changed to 7:30 p.m. in prime time, which shows NHK&#8217;s high expectations for the program. Kuwako also has a great deal of responsibility.
