Arrested for indecency with an elementary school girl, 68-year-old suspect’s twisted desires.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s First Investigation Division announced on the 5th that they had arrested Shingo Takahashi (68), an unemployed man from Nerima Ward, Tokyo, on charges of indecent abduction and non-consensual intercourse. Takahashi is suspected of making indecent advances on an elementary school girl in Nerima Ward on July 23, claiming that she bumped into him.

“While walking on the street, Takahashi allegedly shouted ‘Ouch!’ when the girl on a bicycle passed by, pretending that she had hit him. He then told her to ‘come here’ and led her into a garage about 30 meters away, where he is believed to have committed indecent acts.

After the act, he told the girl to ‘keep it a secret’ and fled on his bicycle. During questioning, Takahashi denied the allegations, saying ‘I have no recollection of it,’” said a reporter from the social affairs department.

The girl was on her way to a lesson during her summer vacation. After the incident, she went to her lesson but left early due to feeling unwell. Her father noticed something was wrong when she returned home and consulted the local police box, which led to the discovery of the incident. Surveillance camera footage from the area identified Takahashi as the suspect. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department is urging, “Now that it’s summer vacation and many children are out, if anything suspicious happens, please call 110 immediately.”
