Masahiro Nakai (left), who had been on an entertainment hiatus, chose the radio show of Taisuke Fujigaya (right), his junior, as his first radio show after his return.

I haven’t talked to anyone for a long time. It’s my first time.”

On January 7, former “SMAP” member Masahiro Nakai made a surprise appearance on “Taisuke Fujigaya Peaceful Days” (Nippon Broadcasting System), a radio program hosted by Taisuke Fujigaya of Kis-My-Ft2, who had been on medical leave since last November. He made a surprise comeback.

At the beginning of the radio show, he said

It’s been a while. Are you okay? Is this thing running?”

Fujigaya was bewildered, whispering in a voice so low that it didn’t seem like he was going on air. Nakai said

Introduce me, introduce me. I’m embarrassed. ……”

Fujigaya understood that he was on the air and said

Masahiro Nakai is here, ladies and gentlemen,” he introduced.

He introduced him as “Mr. Masahiro Nakai is here.

According to the Nippon Broadcasting System’s timetable, “Masahiro Nakai ON & ON AIR” will be broadcast after Fujigaya’s program. Fujigaya had also been the substitute personality for Nakai’s program for eight weeks.

In addition, “The! Sekai Ohten News” (Nippon Television Network), Nakai apparently asked Fujigaya to be the MC in his place.

The day before the recording, Fujigaya received an e-mail from Nakai asking about his plans. He thought it was an invitation to play golf, so he canceled all his plans with friends. However, when he told Nakai that he had cleared his schedule, Nakai simply said, “OK,” and he never heard from him again.

Then he received a script and other materials for the “Gyoten News” special via his manager, and that was the first time he learned that he had been asked to be the MC.

Mr. Nakai and Fujigaya have a “master-disciple” relationship. The manager who originally brought up SMAP produced Kismai. Also, Mr. Nakai produced a derivative unit of Kismai called “Mai-sai-gumi” (Busaiku), so he has a very close relationship with Kismai.

In particular, Nakai thought that Fujigaya “might consider him as his successor.” I have a feeling that Mr. Nakai buys Mr. Fujigaya so much that he thinks of him as his successor. It is also very chic of him to return the favor by returning to Fujigaya’s show just before his own radio show, even though Fujigaya is filling in for him.

Fujigaya recalled an episode in the same radio program. When he and Nakai went on a trip to Fukushima in 2003, Nakai told Fujigaya, “You should be an MC. When asked what he meant by that, Nakai said, “I wanted him to experience being away from home.

Idols and singers are often cheered and praised at live performances and in front of their fans, but when they MC on TV, there are viewers and performers who are not their fans, so that “doesn’t work. Mr. Nakai has experienced this from a young age, so he wanted Fujigaya to experience “away from home” at an early stage.

I think he wanted Fujigaya to experience “away from home” at an early stage, as if to say, “Let the pretty girl travel. There are many idols as well as comedians who are “frogs in the well” type who are well received by their fans in the theater but not at all when they appear on TV or in show business. Nakai must have sensed this and casually advised Fujigaya to adapt to away-from-home situations.

When Nakai appeared in a VTR on “Masahiro Nakai’s Professional Baseball Rare Play Good Play Awards” (Fuji TV) broadcast on December 11, he looked thin and worried fans. Although we could not see him this time because it was on the radio, there are reports that he was forced to leave the hospital in order to return in January.

Nakai was so light-hearted on the radio that we could not feel any blank space in his voice, and we hope that he will be back to his former self as soon as possible and will be able to entertain the audience.
