NHK’s television series “Soaring! Haruka Fukuhara (24), who plays the lead role, greeted the FRIDAY reporter with a fresh expression, showing no signs of fatigue from the early morning shooting.
She told FRIDAY reporters, “People on the street call me ‘Mai-chan! I feel the influence of the morning drama and that people are watching it.
After gaining attention for her role in “Main-chan,” Fukuhara continued to appear in high-profile films such as “3-nen A-gumi: From Now on, You Are All Hostages” and “Masanao Fudosan. While building a successful career as an actor, Fukuhara had a hard time getting cast in morning dramas and was unsuccessful in three auditions, but on his fourth try, he achieved his long-held dream. At the press conference announcing the production, she was so moved that she shed tears.
She said, “I have always loved the work “Ohisama” (broadcast from April 2011, starring Mao Inoue). Morning dramas are very special because they move me and cheer me up every morning. I always wanted to be a part of something like that and deliver something to the people who watch it. So when I passed the audition, it was the happiest moment of my life.
As for her goals for 2011, she says, “I want to learn from the staff and cast members while making this drama more exciting. When asked for a word of advice for readers, she immediately replied, “I will soar more and more.
