 NHK&#8217;s television series &#8220;Soaring! Haruka Fukuhara (24), who plays the lead role, greeted the FRIDAY reporter with a fresh expression, showing no signs of fatigue from the early morning shooting.
 She told FRIDAY reporters, &#8220;People on the street call me &#8216;Mai-chan! I feel the influence of the morning drama and that people are watching it.

 After gaining attention for her role in &#8220;Main-chan,&#8221; Fukuhara continued to appear in high-profile films such as &#8220;3-nen A-gumi: From Now on, You Are All Hostages&#8221; and &#8220;Masanao Fudosan. While building a successful career as an actor, Fukuhara had a hard time getting cast in morning dramas and was unsuccessful in three auditions, but on his fourth try, he achieved his long-held dream. At the press conference announcing the production, she was so moved that she shed tears.
 She said, &#8220;I have always loved the work &#8220;Ohisama&#8221; (broadcast from April 2011, starring Mao Inoue). Morning dramas are very special because they move me and cheer me up every morning. I always wanted to be a part of something like that and deliver something to the people who watch it. So when I passed the audition, it was the happiest moment of my life.
 As for her goals for 2011, she says, &#8220;I want to learn from the staff and cast members while making this drama more exciting. When asked for a word of advice for readers, she immediately replied, &#8220;I will soar more and more.
