<p> It was a little past 9 p.m. in late November when Pierre Taki, 55, emerged from a sake bar in Ebisu, Shibuya Ward, Tokyo. He is slightly tipsy and walking around huffing and puffing, looking up at the night sky with a heated cigarette in his hand.</p>
<p> He was arrested in March &#8217;19 for using cocaine. In June of the same year, Taki was convicted of violating the Narcotics Control Law and sentenced to one year and six months in prison with a three-year suspended sentence, but his suspended sentence expired in July of this year. However, he has not been seen on TV since then. Entertainment reporter Toshio Ishikawa explains why.</p>
