Yurina Hirate’s passionate “kissing, hugging, and kneeling” performance boosts viewer ratings!
Roppongi Class" overcame the "Teruyuki Kagawa shock
She is just the right person to play the role of a hammy. It is no exaggeration to say that she is a key player in this drama. Immediately after Teruyuki Kagawa’s sexual harassment report, the co-stars couldn’t hide their upset. Even so, the viewer ratings have been rising steadily, probably because of her.
A TV station official praised Yurina Hirate (21), who is currently starring in the drama “Roppongi Class” (TV Asahi). Hirate plays Aoi, an influencer with an IQ of 162 who is in love with the main character Arata, played by Ryoma Takeuchi (29), and was spotted on location in Roppongi on a morning in late August. She was filming a scene in which she exits a building decorated with the signboard of Shin’s izakaya “Nidaime Miyabe” and stops in front of an automatic door to look around.
Hirate’s passionate performance is attracting more and more attention with each episode. The kiss scene with Arata, the hug scene, and the scene where she is put on her knees attracted a lot of attention. The scene in which she confesses to Arata “I love you” with tears streaming down her face in episode 9, broadcast on September 1, became a famous scene that was filled with sadness. The viewer rating for this episode was 10.2%, the highest ever.
The reason why “Roppongi Class” is so well received is because of the attractiveness of the cast, especially Ms. Hirate. She is able to express her feelings of joy, anger, sadness, and pleasure with just the expression in her eyes. The strength of her eyes, especially when she looks at her partner, has an overwhelming presence. Her devastating charm has been joined by her love for people in this drama, and she has certainly broadened her range as an actress,” says entertainment reporter Kaoru Shimada.
This drama is likely to lead to a big leap forward for Hirate as an actress. We look forward to seeing her powerful performance until the final episode.
