On April 16, actress Mai Shiraishi (29) took the stage at the opening greeting for the anime film “Detective Conan: Bride of Halloween” in Roppongi (Minato-ku).

After the stage greeting, Shiraishi smiled and waved to the packed audience. Fans can’t wait to see what she can do as a voice actor.

Shiraishi said she was overjoyed when the casting decision was made because her first voice acting job was “Detective Conan,” which she had been a big fan of since elementary school and always watched before going to cram school. The role is that of a female leader of a Russian unit, and it was reported heard that she learned Russian from a native Russian teacher to play the role.

Since her graduation from “Nogizaka46,” Shiraishi has been sought after as an MC for variety shows, TV dramas, and movies. In this winter’s drama, “Not to be Called a Mystery” (Fuji TV), she played a woman who died mysteriously and attracted much attention.

About the highlights of the movie, Shiraishi said, “I like the romantic element a lot.”

I really like the romantic element. I think you can enjoy the cute points of Detective Sato and Detective Takagi no matter how many times you watch the movie. I was very touched by them too.

The press who came to interview Shiraishi were captured by her beauty as she smiled in response.
