<h3>She spends about two and a half hours every day gathering investment-related information</h3>
&#8220;The biggest purchases I&#8217;ve made are my real estate and my home. Through stock investing, I&#8217;ve developed a sense of risk and return, which has made me think more deeply about money. As a result, I&#8217;ve significantly cut down on impulsive purchases of unnecessary things.&#8221;
This is what Anri Sugihara, a talent, entrepreneur, and individual investor, shared. She started investing in stocks in 2005, reached assets of 10 million yen in about five years, and became an &#8220;oku-ribito&#8221; (millionaire investor) four to five years after that.

I asked Anri Sugihara, who says her lifestyle hasn&#8217;t changed much even after becoming a “oku-ri-jin” (a person who has made over 100 million yen through investing), about her investment style.
She spends about two and a half hours daily gathering investment-related information—mainly from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. and again from 10:00 to 11:00 p.m. In the mornings, she checks how her stocks open, reviews the previous day’s NY Dow and USD/JPY rates, and browses news sites.
Her go-to sites are “Kabu-tan” and “Company Quarterly Report Online.” She also refers to news and analyst columns from her brokerage accounts. When researching individual stocks in detail, she looks up company information on these sites and checks analyst evaluations and ratings.
“If I find an interesting stock through news or earnings reports, I first check the company’s performance. I look at quarterly trends comparing sales, ordinary income, and earnings per share with the previous year. If it still interests me, I analyze charts and technical data. Honestly, this is probably what anyone does.”
But continuing these routines for years, all while juggling work and household duties, is nothing short of exceptional.
<h3>Also actively investing in Bitcoin</h3>
Anri Sugihara is well-known for real estate investment, but in fact, she allocates more funds to cryptocurrency than to real estate—over twice as much. The majority of this is invested in Bitcoin.
She says, “I believe it’s essential to have both high-risk and stable stocks in your portfolio to grow your assets. It’s important to manage risk by staying within your risk tolerance and maintaining enough capacity to buy during market crashes.”
