”To whom do I owe the presidency?”

According to Mr. Byun, there is a famous anecdote. In November 2022, Mrs. Kim, along with President Yoon, visited Cambodia. Initially, they planned to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site, Angkor Wat, but after being warned by a fortune-teller that it would bring bad luck, they suddenly changed their destination to hospitals and volunteer facilities.

“Since marrying Mrs. Kim, President Yoon has also become obsessed with fortune-telling. It is possible that the declaration of martial law was influenced by a fortune-teller as well. Mrs. Kim has changed. At the beginning of President Yoon’s term, she said, ‘I won’t be the First Lady. I will focus on supporting him from behind the scenes,’ but her actions have become more and more extravagant.

It was revealed that she traveled with her husband and friends on the presidential plane, purchasing luxury brand items. Now, she is even referred to as the shadow president by the opposition. Mrs. Kim’s true personality is described as strong-willed, and she is said to offer opinions on President Yoon’s political decisions. Perhaps she feels strongly that ‘it’s because of me that he became president.’”

President Yoon’s dedication to protecting his beloved wife seems to be influencing the highly turbulent situation in South Korea, as their special marital relationship appears to have an impact on the nation’s leadership.
