The two groups that have been soaring in popularity with “Poka Poka” will sing and dance on New Year’s Eve!

The male vocal group SHOW-WA and MATSURI, produced by Yasushi Akimoto, will perform in the live broadcast program “SHOW-WA & MATSURI Aka-Ao Uta Gassen” on December 31, 2024.

The members of SHOW-WA and MATSURI were selected from over 3,000 people who participated in the “Don’t Give Up on Your Dreams” audition, which was held under the concept of “Reviving Showa Songs in the Reiwa Era and Revitalizing Japan! Audition,” which was held under the concept of “reviving the Showa era and energizing Japan in the 2025 era. All of them are in their 30s or older, and have diverse backgrounds, including a former J-League player, a cookery researcher, and a janitorial worker. They have steadily increased their fan base through their continuous live singing appearances on Fuji Television’s “Poka Poka.
