<h2>In &#8220;King&#8217;s Brunch,&#8221; she interviewed Will Smith!</h2>
&#8220;I can only be grateful to Miss Magazine. Thanks to receiving this title, it definitely opened up the path for my career. I&#8217;m still close with my Miss Magazine peers, and just recently, I went out to eat with Manya Yamaoka.&#8221;
Around three years have passed since Rino Oshima won the Special Jury Prize at Miss Magazine 2021. At 20 years old, shortly after moving to Tokyo from Gunma Prefecture, Oshima made her debut in front of the camera, wearing a swimsuit for the first time in her life.
&#8220;My goal has always been acting, and I shared with my manager at the time that I wanted to seize the opportunity to enter the industry through gravure. That&#8217;s why I decided to take on the Miss Magazine challenge.&#8221;
&#8220;When I stood in front of the camera for the first time in a swimsuit during the audition, it was such a fresh and new experience. I had worn school swimsuits and competitive swimming suits before, but it was my first time being photographed in a bikini. I realized how it felt, how to move to get the right shot—it was all new to me, and I had so much fun.&#8221;

&#8220;After receiving the Special Jury Prize at Miss Magazine, I started working as a reporter for King&#8217;s Brunch (TBS), and it felt like my path suddenly opened up. The three years since I received the award have flown by, and it feels like I’ve been rushing forward.&#8221;
&#8220;Recently, I’ve been getting more acting opportunities and even had the chance to try voice narration. I’m from Kiryu City in Gunma Prefecture, and starting in March 2024, I will be appointed as the Kiryu City Ambassador. I’ve also been given more opportunities to appear at events as a host. Every day is fulfilling with various kinds of work.&#8221;
In October 2024, Oshima was chosen as the cover model for the literary book The Daughter of the Pearl King (written by Hitomi Fujimoto, published by Kodansha), further expanding her professional scope. As she mentions, her activities as a reporter for King&#8217;s Brunch since April 2022 significantly boosted her recognition.
&#8220;When I first saw the broadcast of the show I appeared on, I thought, &#8216;Oh, I’m on TV!&#8217; (laughs). It was a bit embarrassing, but I was definitely happy.&#8221;
Oshima graduated from King&#8217;s Brunch at the end of September, but she feels incredibly grateful for the valuable experience she had. One moment she will never forget is interviewing Will Smith during the movie segment:
&#8220;When I was chosen for that interview, I was so happy because the director knew how much I loved movies. I will cherish that experience forever. Using this as motivation, I want to continue stepping up in my acting career.&#8221;

<h2>“I&#8217;ve put all my energy into this shoot today (laughs).&#8221;</h2>
Oshima made her debut in FRIDAY with a gravure shoot after a long break.
&#8220;The gravure shoot was my first in about a year. Even during my break, I always felt I wanted to continue gravure, so I kept up with strength training. I’ve been maintaining my body in a state where I could stand in front of the camera at any time.&#8221;
Her daily training updates on Instagram, known as &#8220;Rinotre&#8221; (Rino Training), have garnered a lot of attention from fans.
&#8220;I don&#8217;t go to the gym; instead, I set up a training mat in a corner of my home and work out by myself. At first, I only did ab exercises and hip-boosting moves, but at some point, I set a goal to &#8216;get a toned belly!&#8217; Since then, I&#8217;ve incorporated a method I found online called &#8216;HIIT training,&#8217; and I successfully got abs last summer. It&#8217;s tough because I do sets of 30 seconds of activity followed by 10 seconds of rest, over and over again.
When FRIDAY offered me the gravure shoot, I dedicated a week leading up to it to really tighten my body. In addition to my usual workouts, I added exercises to make my body look better for the shoot, did sauna sessions to sweat out excess fluids, restricted my diet, and more. Above all, I’ve been focusing on this shoot today (laughs).&#8221;

Oshima approaches her training with the dedication of an athlete. Her impressive abs are visible in the magazine spread, but what motivates her to stay so disciplined in her strength training?
&#8220;I really feel the support of my fans strongly through social media. When I expressed that I wanted to do gravure again, they shared it and sent me encouraging messages. I want to meet those expectations and give back to my fans. They spend their valuable time and money supporting me, so I feel I must give my best in return. With that mindset, even tough training becomes bearable. I’m determined to put in the effort and provide even better content.&#8221;
Oshima will turn 24 on November 25, 2024. When asked about her dreams and goals moving forward, she shared:
&#8220;Now that I’ve returned to gravure with a new ideal, I want to someday grace the cover of FRIDAY! First, I want to make sure the work we’ve shot this time reaches as many people as possible. Hailing from Gunma Prefecture, Oshima debuted in gravure after winning the Special Jury Award at Miss Magazine 2021 in October. She is currently serving as the first &#8220;Kiryū City Charm Ambassador&#8221; for her hometown, and is making great strides in her acting career, having won the Best Actor Award at the Élandore Awards Actors Seminar.
