<p><span class="strongInContent"> I&#8217;ve got you, man. Don&#8217;t think you can escape.</span></p>
<p>The men shouted at him and beat him. They forced him into a car parked nearby and locked him up for a long time.</p>
<p>On October 21, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department&#8217;s Anti-gang Division arrested four suspects, including Tatsuya Mano (34), whose address and occupation are unknown, and Tomihiro Miyagawa (32) of Oyama Town, Shizuoka Prefecture, on suspicion of robbery, assault, and confinement. The police have not revealed the identities of the four suspects.</p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> The alleged incident occurred around midnight on December 25 last year. At the time, Mr. A was in a restaurant in Toshima Ward, Tokyo. The four suspects entered the restaurant and struck Mr. A in the face. They said, &#8220;Don&#8217;t think you can escape. Mr. A suffered a broken nose and other serious injuries, including a month-long recovery.</span></p>

<h2>Why did they run away?</h2>
<p>It seems that the suspects and Mr. A were members of a special fraud group.</p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> Mr. A was a collector for the scam group, and it seems that about two weeks before the incident, he absconded with about 1.2 million yen that he had swindled. The suspects are said to have questioned Mr. A, asking him &#8216;why did you run away,&#8217; and &#8216;sanctioned&#8217; him. After being assaulted, Mr. A was robbed of his earphones (worth 20,000 yen at market value).</span></p>
<p>The photographer for this magazine photographed the suspect Miyagawa being sent to the police station on October 23, immediately after his arrest. The tattoo on his neck was a shocking one that intimidated those around him. His face was turned down, and he was in a sulky attitude.</p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> Once you join a special fraud or black market robbery group, it&#8217;s hard to get out,&#8221; he said. The members are ruled by fear. If you apply for a black market job, you are asked to send an image of your photo ID and specify your family structure. If you refuse to commit the crime, they threaten you, saying things like, &#8216;You&#8217;re going to get hurt badly,&#8217; or &#8216;You don&#8217;t mind if your family gets harmed.</span></p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> They are not allowed to run away with the money, as in the case of this incident. In some cases, those who break the rules are subjected to fierce &#8220;sanctions. If you want to get out of a criminal group, you should consult the police instead of running away.</span></p>
<p>In the case where Mr. A was assaulted, the police are investigating who else may have been involved in addition to the four arrested.</p>
