<p> Orient Industry, a long-established manufacturer of love dolls supported by many fans, regrettably closed its business on September 20. The company&#8217;s website now has a greeting from Hideo Tsuchiya, the president of the company, on its top page.</p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> I would like to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to all of you who have supported our company over the years. We regret to inform you that the Ueno Gallery &amp; Showroom was closed on September 20. Thank you very much for your support over the years.</span></p>
<p> The company states that the decision to close operations was made because Mr. Tsuchiya, the founder and president of the company, decided to retire, prioritizing his health. The company will continue to provide maintenance and support services at the plant.</p>

<p> Orient Industries was founded by Tsuchiya in 1977. The company was founded in 1977 by Mr. Tsuchiya, who started the company with the idea of fundamentally improving the existing &#8220;Dutchwife,&#8221; a vinyl type inflated with air, which was quite crude in terms of both production and appearance. This was triggered by the need to develop a superior dutch wife after hearing stories of disabled people who were not taken seriously in the sex industry and were having trouble with sexual treatment. That is why the company&#8217;s products were only sold to disabled people when it first started business.</p>
<p> The company&#8217;s goal was to &#8220;develop an image of a woman who can provide &#8216;peace of mind. <p><span class="strongInContent"> 《&#8221;We sell about 500 dolls a year. It takes two weeks to make one doll because most of the work is done by hand. The price is about 550,000 to 800,000 yen. Our customers are mainly in their 40s to 60s. Some of them are not looking for a partner for sexual intercourse, but rather to sleep with the doll and get comfort from it. Some even go to the trouble of renting an apartment for their love dolls because they don&#8217;t want their families to know about them. There are 24 types of faces. You can also choose the size of the body and the thickness of the hair. They are completely made to order.</span></p>

<p> When we were shown the factory where the love dolls are actually manufactured, we found the following.</p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> When we visited the production site, the process was divided by part. First was the head, where four women were working in a room about eight tatami mats in size. <p><span class="strongInContent"> In a large room of 20 tatami mats, there are about 50 naked bodies. A closer look reveals that the breasts are of different sizes.</span></p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> For example, a 157-centimeter-tall, long-limbed body has two different breast sizes, B and E,&#8221; Mr. A continues. The softness of the silicone gel material used is close to that of human skin. Baby powder is used to reduce stickiness and color the nipples. They are then dried in a drying room kept at 30°C for three hours.&#8221;</span></p>
