“You were looking at me, weren’t you?”
What the hell are you looking at?
The men then attacked two male customers in the same restaurant. They then surrounded the male customers and beat and kicked them. They then took one of the male customers outside the restaurant and hit him in the head with a glass bottle.
The suspect was accused of making eye contact with the customers.
On September 19, the Kameari Police Station of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department arrested five men, including Daisuke Goto, 27, an unemployed man living in Katsushika Ward, Tokyo, on suspicion of assault and violation of the Violent Acts Punishment Law. Goto is a member of the Yamaguchigumi VI gang, a designated crime syndicate. He stated during interrogation, “I will talk about it after my lawyer arrives.
The alleged incident occurred on the night of May 21 this year. The suspects were eating at a restaurant in Kameari, Katsushika-ku, Tokyo, when they made false accusations against two male customers in their 20s who were inside the restaurant, saying that their eyes met.
The man who was hit was temporarily unconscious. The five men fled the scene, but the security camera footage led to their arrest.
Immediately after his arrest, a photographer for this magazine photographed the shocking sight of Goto coming out of the police station. His arms were covered in tattoos, and he appeared to be intimidating to those around him. The victim, who was severely injured after being beaten and kicked by the group, must have felt a strong sense of fear.
The police are investigating the situation at the scene of the incident at the time and the motive for the crime as to why the Goto suspects and others were causing trouble with the man.
