Takao Osawa Impresses with His Ou Ki Physique from Kingdom in Omotesando
He wears no disguise at all, and usually exudes an aura of being just like any other person.
On a tropical July night, Omotesando in Tokyo was bustling with shoppers. Amid the crowd, a well-built “handsome older man” in a black T-shirt and shorts was spotted. It was actor Takao Osawa (56).
His well-defined muscles and veins were clearly visible on his arm, which was holding a cardboard box. Passersby couldn’t help but exclaim, “Wow, he’s huge!” After loading his items, Osawa drove off in his beloved car.
Currently, Osawa is portraying the legendary general Ouki, clad in armor and wielding a huge spear, in the film “Kingdom: Return of the Great General.”
“Osawa adjusts his physique stoically according to his roles. He gained 20 kg for the role of General Ou Ki, but later lost 11 kg for the film ‘Silent Fleet.’ The amount of weight change is extraordinary and something that ordinary people could not endure.
As a result, both films have been highly praised. ‘Kingdom,’ released in July, surpassed 5 billion yen in box office revenue in just 21 days, with all four films in the series exceeding 5 billion yen. It is the top achievement for a live-action Japanese film series in the Reiwa era,” says a film writer.
We hope to see his physical beauty utilized in a new perfect role.
