George Clooney’s Support for Biden’s Withdrawal Linked to Human Rights Lawyer Wife

Hollywood top star George Clooney, a two-time Academy Award winner, caused a stir with a bombshell op-ed in the New York Times (July 10) urging President Biden to withdraw from the November presidential election. This has intensified the discussion within the Democratic Party about Biden’s withdrawal. New information has emerged about the background. 

George Clooney, who won Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor in “Syriana” (2006) and for Best Picture as a producer of “Argo” (2012), has written a scathing op-ed for the New York Times. He argues that while President Biden saved democracy by defeating Trump in 2020, he must step aside this time to allow someone else to continue that mission.

“The Joe Biden I saw three weeks ago at a fundraising event was not the Joe Biden of 2010. He was not the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same person we saw in the debates with Trump.’”

He pointed out Biden’s transformation and decline.

 

“I love Joe Biden. I consider him a friend and I trust him.”

 

He then added. 

“However, the battle he cannot win is a fight against time. None of us can win that.”
