<p> Isamu Ono, 55, was sentenced to six years in prison.</p>
<p> The defendant, Isamu Ono, 55, was charged with murder by commission. On May 24, the Supreme Court dismissed Ono&#8217;s appeal against the sentences of the Sapporo District Court (first trial) and the Sapporo High Court (second trial), which had sentenced him to six years in prison. Ono allegedly strangled a female college student he met on SNS to death after she asked him to do so.</p>

<p>Ono stated that he and Ms. A &#8220;met through SNS,&#8221; but the details of how they met are unknown. According to a friend, Ms. A loved cooking and had a cheerful personality.</p>
