Isamu Ono, 55, was sentenced to six years in prison.

The defendant, Isamu Ono, 55, was charged with murder by commission. On May 24, the Supreme Court dismissed Ono’s appeal against the sentences of the Sapporo District Court (first trial) and the Sapporo High Court (second trial), which had sentenced him to six years in prison. Ono allegedly strangled a female college student he met on SNS to death after she asked him to do so.

FRIDAY Digital” reported in detail on the commissioned murder case committed by Ono in an article distributed on October 13, ’22. We would like to recount the defendant’s selfish motive for committing the crime and his horrifying message (some parts have been revised).

[Joon] You’ve gone off the rails again, haven’t you?

Where is the path of a man? I’ve gone off the rails again, but I’ve been useful… haven’t I?

On October 7, 2010, shortly after the woman’s death, the suspect posted a meaningful message on a social networking service.

On October 11, unemployed defendant Ono was re-arrested for dumping the body of Ms. A., then 22, a university student living in Otaru City, Hokkaido. On October 7, a missing persons report was filed with the Hokkaido Police Department.

The signal from Ms. A’s smartphone was cut off near the apartment where Mr. Ono lived. Subsequent investigations raised the possibility that Ms. A was being held captive in the Ono defendant’s home. When police arrived at the scene, they found Ono in front of his house and questioned him about his duties. They found him carrying a folding knife with a blade length of 8.7 cm, so they arrested him for violating the Firearms Control Law.

Furthermore, when Ono’s room was raided, Mr. A’s body was found at ……. As a result of the autopsy, it is believed that she died around the 4th, and the cause of death was asphyxiation due to being strangled. Mr. A’s smartphone was also found in the room. Upon investigation, Ono said, “I have met (Ms. A) before the incident. He strangled her to death inside the room,’ implying that he killed her.

Ono stated that he and Ms. A “met through SNS,” but the details of how they met are unknown. According to a friend, Ms. A loved cooking and had a cheerful personality.

She had her sights set on becoming an occupational therapist in the future. She also loved cooking, serving homemade cakes and apple pies to her family. I heard that she had a cheerful and active personality and was trusted by many people.

I knew he was broken.

Ono, on the other hand, did not seem to have much interaction with his neighbors.

When we asked people who lived nearby, they gave us only weak impressions,” he said. However, he often boasted about the tattoos on his body and his knowledge of weapons. On the profile page of a social networking service that appears to belong to Ono, he wrote, “Former 2nd Sergeant” and “Former mercenary,” as if he wanted to show off his experience in the Self-Defense Forces. He also introduced himself as a “murderer” and “a kind-hearted reaper.

Since October 4, the day of Mr. A’s death, a person believed to be Mr. Ono has been posting meaningful messages on SNS.

He’s living his life as usual. He’s a broken man.

I don’t know if this is the right thing to do.

I want to help people who are struggling with death again.

Ono is alleged to have committed the crime by calling himself a “kind-hearted Shinigami (god of death). The appeal court is scheduled to deliver its verdict on February 14.
