In early March, during the evening at Tokyo Station, a figure striding confidently through the concourse in a black leather jacket, sunglasses, and long, tousled hair with a guitar slung over his shoulder was none other than Slash (58), the guitarist of the American super rock band “Guns N’ Roses.”

“They’re a legendary rock band that skyrocketed to fame in the late 1980s, selling over 100 million albums worldwide. Slash is one of the original members. Known for his mastery of Gibson Les Paul guitars, his lustrous tone and blues-infused classic guitar playing are his trademarks. With his trademark long, tousled hair and silk hat, he has gained fame as a guitarist with a unique presence.” (Music magazine editor)

This visit to Japan marks the return of his band, “Slash feat. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators,” for their tour in support of their album “4,” released in June 2022, making it their first visit in five years. In an interview with “Rolling Stone Japan” in June 2022, Slash, when asked about Japan, said,

“I’m dying to go to Japan. I hope everyone enjoys the album.”

Even at the age of 58, his physique remains toned, and on this day, he didn’t even pass his Les Paul to anyone, carrying it himself as he walked. Instead of his trademark silk hat, he wore a baseball cap, but his star aura was still intact. After completing all three performances and already returning home, fans are eagerly awaiting the next visit of Slash from “Guns N’ Roses” to Japan.
