Yoko Maki once again stirred controversy by posting her hospitalization on social media. However, it was her partner who shared the image.

Yoko Maki, who once again sparked controversy by posting her hospitalization on social media. However, it was her partner who shared the image. Now she has become the epitome of the troublesome actress. From the sexual harassment remarks towards Masaharu Nitta, to the airsoft gun shooting suspicion involving Iwashaki Yoshimasa, formerly of the comedy duo Plus Minus. And finally, with the exaggerated impersonations by Hollywood Zakoshisyoh, she has ended up hospitalized.

In the evening of March 8, a picture of her lying on a hospital bed was posted on SNS,

“She won’t regain consciousness, so instead, I, her partner, will inform.”

It was written like that, but criticism flooded in regarding that photo.

“On social media and such, many people felt something odd around Maki-san’s bed, who is deemed unconscious. Firstly, despite being unconscious, there are no devices like heart rate monitors or electrocardiograms around, no oxygen inhalation apparatus either. Conversely, there’s a square-shaped object like a smartphone lying nearby.

And there’s a partially consumed drink with a straw stuck in it. A hat is placed sideways, and comments such as ‘doesn’t seem like someone brought in unconscious’ were overflowing, with some mocking comments like ‘Makiko Yoko exaggerated too much’ also present. The images of her hospitalization were promptly deleted, but they’ve been widely spread and scrutinized. If her partner posted it on a whim, it’s a bit reckless.” (Female magazine journalist)

In the video that led to Zakoshisyoh imitating him, he was shouting intense words, slamming Pipopo-kun against something so his words couldn’t be understood. Even before that,

“I’ve never met Mr. Iwahashi. He said things like ‘Show me the scars from the air gun,’ and to Zakoshisyoh, ‘Those people who say ‘other people’s misfortune is sweet,’ they must be kinda pitiful.’

He might have a tendency to speak without thinking about the consequences, but indeed, Maki-san’s series of words and actions significantly damage her image as an actress.” (TV station insider)

By the way, Yuto Nakajima, who is said to have shot the air gun together, and the comedian Miyagawa Daisuke, who was present, both remain completely silent, not offering any testimony that would support Iwahashi or Maki’s statements.

In response to the recent turmoil, discussions have arisen about the talk that took place when Maki and actress Noriko Eguchi appeared together at the completion screening of Maki’s starring movie “Undercurrent” in September of last year. Maki referred to Eguchi as

“She is a close friend,”

to which Eguchi promptly replied,

“We are not close friends. We’ve just known each other for a long time.”

Of course, it may have been a joke because they are friends, but if Maki continues with such “\extreme behavior, it may not be dismissed as a joke anymore.

“Maki tends to express herself emotionally, which leads to spreading controversies one after another. If this leads to being hospitalized due to being mentally and physically overwhelmed, it might be better for her to quit SNS first.

Moreover, I can’t believe her partner, who should be concerned about her, not only didn’t stop her but even publicized her hospitalization. Considering the damage to her acting career and the controversies, it’s truly unnecessary, isn’t it?” (Media personnel)

We can only hope for her swift return as an actress.
