<p> Education Minister Masahito Moriyama, 70, is under fire from opposition parties for having concluded a de facto policy pact with the former Unification Church to support his election.</p>

The day after he answered, &#8220;I don&#8217;t remember,&#8221; he said, &#8220;I am beginning to remember,&#8221; and the next day he backtracked again, saying, &#8220;I don&#8217;t remember.&#8221; &#8230;&#8230; His &#8220;ambiguous answers,&#8221; which change daily, are adding fuel to the fire.</p>

<p> The person who resents such a minister is Michiko Moriyama&#8217;s wife. She is the eldest daughter of the late Hajime Tamura, who served as Speaker of the House of Representatives, and grew up closely following her father&#8217;s political activities. She is known as the wife of a strongman in the Moriyama office.</p>
<p> &#8211;Did you have any contact with the church?</p>

The Church says they helped with the campaign calls, but I was in the (local) office every day during the &#8217;21 election, so if I didn&#8217;t know someone, I would recognize them right away.
