<p> A man was arrested again for allegedly beating a live-in girlfriend for 20 minutes.</p>
<p> On December 7, the Kashiwa Police Station of the Chiba Prefectural Police re-arrested Kaito Komatsu, 22, an unemployed man, on suspicion of inflicting injury or death.</p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> The suspect is suspected of hitting Ms. A, a woman in her 20s who lived with him, in the back with a blunt object, causing her death at an apartment in Kashiwa City in September of this year. Upon investigation, Komatsu denied the crime, saying, &#8216;The contents of the arrest warrant are too different from the facts.</span></p>

Komatsu, who has tattoos on his neck, arms, and other parts of his body, was arrested on suspicion of assault by the Chiba Prefectural Police&#8217;s Kashiwa Police Station on September 24.</p>

<p> Komatsu called 119 at around 4:30 p.m. on September 23, the day before his arrest. They immediately rushed him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 7:30 p.m. on the same day.</p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> According to the police, Komatsu beat Ms. A for about 20 minutes starting around midnight on September 10, and Ms. A had multiple bruises on her body that appeared to have been caused by the beating.</span></p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> The suspect admitted to hitting Ms. A. The report was made on the 23rd, which means that he left Ms. A with serious injuries for almost two weeks. The police performed an autopsy on Mr. A&#8217;s body and were investigating the cause of death and Komatsu&#8217;s motive for beating him.</span></p>

There is an increasing number of problems between men and women who appear to have been in a relationship. Most of the victims are women. The following is a list of major incidents that were uncovered this year (ages at the time).</p>
<p>In January, a former boxer was arrested on suspicion of assault. On Christmas night of the previous year, he got into an argument with a woman in her 20s with whom he had been dating on the street and kicked her in the face. The woman suffered a fracture of the inner wall of her right orbit and other serious injuries, including a month&#8217;s total recovery.</p>
<p>In January, a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of murder. He was resentful that a woman he was dating had ended their relationship. He ambushed a woman near her place of work and stabbed her to death with a knife.</p>
<p>In June, a man in his 20s turned himself in to the police and was arrested on suspicion of murder. He ambushed a female university student who refused to continue a relationship with him in front of her apartment, and stabbed her multiple times to death with a kitchen knife he was carrying. He often threatened to kill her and assaulted her, saying, &#8220;If you break up with me, I will kill you.</p>
<p><span class="strongInContent"> In several cases, the police intervened in advance and held discussions with the victims.
