<p> What did &#8220;FRIDAY&#8221; report 10, 20, and 30 years ago? In this edition of &#8220;Playback Friday,&#8221; we take a look back at the topics that were hot at the time. This time, we present &#8220;Mino Monta&#8217;s Drunkenly Unlimited Saying! from the November 15, 2001 issue.</p>
<p> Following the arrest of his second son for theft in September, Mino Monta (69 at the time) was a guest on the news programs &#8220;Asa Zubatto! and Saturday Zubatto (both on TBS), but on October 25, it was announced that he would officially leave the programs. On the following day, October 26, Mino held a press conference in front of more than 200 reporters. and sometimes with tears in her eyes, apologized to her second son. Four hours after the press conference, this magazine directly interviewed Mino when she returned home to her house in Kamakura.</p>

<p> From 2005 to 2007, Mino appeared in two weekly TV programs, &#8220;Omoikkiri TV&#8221; (Nippon Television Network Corporation) and &#8220;Asa Zubatto! She was at the height of her career, setting a Guinness record for hours of live TV appearances in a single week.</p>
<p> However, around 2010, he began to be bashed by some and treated as an &#8220;old man,&#8221; and at the end of August of that year, allegations of &#8220;sexual harassment&#8221; surfaced that he had tried to touch a female announcer&#8217;s buttocks during a program and had his hand removed. Mino called it a &#8220;summer vacation. Mino took a one-week break from the program on September 9, calling it a &#8220;summer vacation,&#8221; but the incident involving his second son occurred at precisely the right time.</p>

<p> Although the second son&#8217;s case was eventually dropped, Mino&#8217;s TV appearances since then have been drastically reduced to only a few regular appearances on such programs as &#8220;Himitsu no Kenmin Show&#8221; (Nippon Television Network Corporation). After she left the show in 2008, her appearances became even less frequent.</p>
<p> At the time, Mino seemed to be in high spirits and did not seem to mind the adverse publicity, but it seems that she was never able to regain the vigor of her heyday.</p>
