He said that he energetically shows up at school events. On the other hand, he lamented, “There are no parents who approach me.

On November 16, Sosuke Takaoka (41) announced his renewed commitment to acting. He is scheduled to appear in “CONNECT: The Road to Champion” (to be distributed and rented in February next year), a film depicting the world of chivalry.

Takaoka is attracting attention for resuming his acting career after a three-year absence, but it is not only his work that has changed. In 2011, Takaoka divorced actress Aoi Miyazaki (37). He remarried in 2004 and moved to the Kansai region. He is now the father of two children, but he has put an end to his marriage. A neighborhood resident revealed, “For the past year or so, I’ve been seeing his wife.

A neighbor said, “I have seen her only a few times in the past year or so. I have only seen the older of their two children. Moreover, Mr. Takaoka takes the children to and from school and does everything else.

Is the divorce really true?

In late November, FRIDAY directly interviewed Takaoka while he was out riding his mama bicycle. Takaoka gave the reporter a quizzical glance, then said, “It’s not something I want to talk about outside,” and moved to a different location for the interview.

–I heard that you and your wife divorced.

Yes, that’s right. That was about two years ago. We talked about custody and other things, and we settled down around September of last year. I am now living with my older son.

–What was the cause of the divorce?

We just didn’t match each other’s lifestyles. We were each immature in some ways. But in the divorce, we both shared the idea that the most important thing was for the children not to feel bad. So, for example, when it came to how often we saw each other, we initially set a limit on the number of times we could see each other, but now such rules have naturally disappeared. Although we live separately, we are still a family.

–Is it difficult to raise a child by yourself?

Is it difficult to raise a child by yourself? I wake up as early as 5:00 a.m. and put my children to bed at 9:00 p.m., but I have never considered it a burden. My child loves “Sumikko Gurashi” character bento boxes, so I make them myself. Of course, I also take my children to and from school, and go to their class visits and school assembly meetings.

Takaoka says that his relationship with his ex-wife is good. He says he was able to make the decision to become a single father “only because of the support I received from the people around me,” he continues.

My friends and people in my hometown help me a lot,” he says. But I can’t just rely on them. For example, I can’t ask them to take care of me because I’m going out for a drink. The number of times I go out for a drink has decreased dramatically, and it is only a few times a year. I don’t know if it’s fair of me to say this, but I don’t think men understand enough about child-rearing. To be honest, until I became a single father, I didn’t understand it as well as I thought I did.

I have no intention of returning to show business.”

Takaoka has long been critical of the entertainment industry. What change of heart did he have regarding the resumption of his acting career?

I had given up acting for a while,” he said. But time has passed, and I am not the same person I was before, in terms of depth and experience. I was thinking about what I could do, and then the opportunity arose. The people involved went out of their way to persuade me. I was also moved by their enthusiasm.

–Do you plan to continue acting in the future?

No, not at this time. I will consider returning to acting as soon as I can get rid of the sordid affairs in the industry.

–The entertainment industry is going through a period of major change, with the sexual assault of the late Janney Kitagawa and the bullying of the Takarazuka Revue being discussed. What do you think about that?

Johnny’s has always been protected. That has collapsed, and now the entire entertainment industry, including Takarazuka and the Kabuki world, is being shaken. It is time for a change. I hope this will be an opportunity to move in the right direction.

At the end of the interview, he joked, “Please watch my YouTube (laugh). Takaoka is back on the stage, and despite the turbulence of the entertainment world, he is going his own way in both his public life and private life.
