An art space that goes around in a circle! What is “Hibokan,” an amusement park of eroticism and grotesqueness, a legacy of the Showa era?

Hokkaido Hibokan” opened in 1980 in Jozankei, Sapporo (closed in 2010). The corridor is surrounded by objects of mysterious naked bodies.

The “Hokkaido Hibokan” is reminiscent of the Garden of Eden, with objects of beautiful women frolicking with animals. When Mr. Tsuzuki visited the museum in 2012, it was in ruins and the objects had been abandoned.

An exhibit from “HIHOKAN Yume” (closed) that Mr. Tsuzuki found by chance. The mannequins are made from ready-made mannequins, giving them a strangely surrealistic flavor.
