<p> At around 6:45 p.m. on March 3, a male sergeant (32) of the Fuse Police Station was on patrol on a street in Kami Kita 9-chome, Hirano-ku, Osaka City, when he questioned a man about his duties and was stabbed in the head with what appeared to be a screwdriver. The stabber fled the scene, and the male sergeant was transported to the hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. The suspect was described by police officers as a young man of foreign appearance.</p>

<p> The site is about 180 meters from Kizurikamikita Station on the JR Osakahigashi Line, where there are many factories, and a few meters further on is Higashi-Osaka City.
