What shook the Korean public was the behavior of defendant Chung Yu-jung, 23, who was charged by the Busan District Public Prosecutors Office with murder and destruction of a corpse.  The incident took place shortly after 5 p.m. on the evening of May 26. Chong contacted 54 people, including female university students, through a matching app under the guise of recruiting tutors. It seems that he targeted highly educated people who could be alone with him at his partner&#8217;s house.  She was separated from her mother when she was one year old, and her father left her when she was six. After that, she lived alone with her grandfather. She failed the university entrance exam and the civil service exam, and was unemployed after graduating from high school. He did not have any close friends.
