<p>Actress Machiko Ono (41)&#8217;s performance has become the talk of the town.</p>
<p>She plays the role of the wife of the main character, a waterworks bureau employee (Toma Ikuta), in the movie &#8220;Drought,&#8221; which is currently being screened. The film is a human drama that depicts the struggles of a contractor who turns off the water supply for families who are behind on their water bills. Ono beautifully portrays the wife&#8217;s frustration at her husband&#8217;s work.</p>

<p><strong> Ono made her debut as an actress when she was 15 years old. It was by chance that she caught the eye of director Naomi Kawase while cleaning at a junior high school in her hometown in Nara Prefecture, and she was cast in the lead role in the film &#8220;Moe no Suzaku&#8221; (Suzaku of Moe). For this film, Ms. Ono won the Best Actress Award at the Singapore International Film Festival and the Best New Actress Award at the Takasaki Film Festival.</strong></p>
<p><strong> As you know, she has since gone on to star in numerous dramas, including the NHK morning series &#8220;Carnation&#8221; and &#8220;Suspicion&#8221; (Fuji Television), and films such as &#8220;Makouku araoba&#8221; and &#8220;Torokko&#8221;. <p>This magazine published a photo of Ono and popular comedian Hosshattan (now Hidetoshi Hoshida) on a late-night date in June 2012.</p>
<p>Ono was driving a four-wheel-drive car through a residential area in central Tokyo on a cold rainy night. When the car stopped on the corner of the road, a man got into the passenger seat with a familiar look on his face. It was Hoshan in the car, the two men are sitting face to face, happily chatting with each other.</p>

<p>The four-wheel-drive car was headed for a cafe in Setagaya Ward. After getting out of the car, the two walked into the cafe with their hands wrapped around the handle of their matching umbrellas.</p>
<p><strong> Hosshun took a seat and removed the mask and hat he was wearing and smoked a cigarette. They had worked together on the morning drama &#8220;Carnation,&#8221; so they must have become close friends through the drama.</strong></p>
<p>It was 10:30 p.m. in July 2004 when we caught her on a date with a married man under an umbrella.</p>
<p>Ono came out of a tavern in Daikanyama. By her side is a director of a major entertainment production company whom she had married the previous year. Apparently, the couple was celebrating their first wedding anniversary at an izakaya after work. It must have been a time for the couple to be alone together. Ono smiled with satisfaction and rode home in a cab with her husband.</p>
<p>Ono is now married to another man and has a fulfilling public life. The figure seen by this magazine conveys her overwhelming attractiveness as an actress.</p>
