A Date with a Famous Comedian under a Shared Umbrella, a Daring Dress, and a Surprise… Machiko Ono’s “Good Performance in a Movie Is the Talk of the Town” And Her Beautiful Photo Collection

Actress Machiko Ono (41)’s performance has become the talk of the town.
She plays the role of the wife of the main character, a waterworks bureau employee (Toma Ikuta), in the movie “Drought,” which is currently being screened. The film is a human drama that depicts the struggles of a contractor who turns off the water supply for families who are behind on their water bills. Ono beautifully portrays the wife’s frustration at her husband’s work.
Ono made her debut as an actress when she was 15 years old. It was by chance that she caught the eye of director Naomi Kawase while cleaning at a junior high school in her hometown in Nara Prefecture, and she was cast in the lead role in the film “Moe no Suzaku” (Suzaku of Moe). For this film, Ms. Ono won the Best Actress Award at the Singapore International Film Festival and the Best New Actress Award at the Takasaki Film Festival.
As you know, she has since gone on to star in numerous dramas, including the NHK morning series “Carnation” and “Suspicion” (Fuji Television), and films such as “Makouku araoba” and “Torokko”. In her private life, she has been married twice to different non-celebrity men.
“FRIDAY” has been focusing on Ono, who has made it big as an actress. Her “car date” with a famous comedian, her “shared umbrella date” with her ex-husband, and her bold and sexy backless outfits. We would like to introduce Ono’s aura-filled presence through treasured photos.
Gazing at each other under one umbrella with a famous comedian:
This magazine published a photo of Ono and popular comedian Hosshattan (now Hidetoshi Hoshida) on a late-night date in June 2012.
Ono was driving a four-wheel-drive car through a residential area in central Tokyo on a cold rainy night. When the car stopped on the corner of the road, a man got into the passenger seat with a familiar look on his face. It was Hoshan in the car, the two men are sitting face to face, happily chatting with each other.
The four-wheel-drive car was headed for a cafe in Setagaya Ward. After getting out of the car, the two walked into the cafe with their hands wrapped around the handle of their matching umbrellas.
Hosshun took a seat and removed the mask and hat he was wearing and smoked a cigarette. They had worked together on the morning drama “Carnation,” so they must have become close friends through the drama.
It was 10:30 p.m. in July 2004 when we caught her on a date with a married man under an umbrella.
Ono came out of a tavern in Daikanyama. By her side is a director of a major entertainment production company whom she had married the previous year. Apparently, the couple was celebrating their first wedding anniversary at an izakaya after work. It must have been a time for the couple to be alone together. Ono smiled with satisfaction and rode home in a cab with her husband.
Ono is now married to another man and has a fulfilling public life. The figure seen by this magazine conveys her overwhelming attractiveness as an actress.
