Those who play with fire will surely burn to death.

The national character of diplomacy has been shattered.

The May 8 edition of the Environment Times, an affiliate of the People’s Daily, the official newspaper of the Communist Party of China, concluded, referring to the Japan-South Korea summit that took place the previous day: “There is no prospect of any progress in relations between the two countries.

The meeting produced little progress in relations between the two countries.

The talks produced little in the way of results.

Why is China increasingly critical of South Korea?

President Moon Jae-in, who led the previous administration, placed great importance on relations with China and took into consideration China’s policies. In April, he visited the United States as a state guest and met with President Biden. The shuttle diplomacy between the two countries is also likely to become more active with Japan.

According to the Korean newspaper Hankyoreh, President Yun mentioned President Moon Jae-in’s visit to China in December 2005 at a dinner with the ruling party leadership on May 2. The previous administration was pro-China, but did they get anything in return? It seems that China is wary of President Yun’s disrespectful words and actions toward China.

South Korea also reacted with “too much rudeness and arrogance.

There are a number of statements made by President Yun that China has been pushing back against.

In an interview with the British Reuters news agency on April 19, President Yun stated that he is “absolutely opposed to changing the status quo by force ” with regard to the Taiwan issue. Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Tai Gang immediately responded , “Those who play with fire over the Taiwan issue will surely burn to death.

Furthermore, when President Yun told the Washington Post on April 24 that a new Japan-Korea relationship should be built, the English-language edition of the Chinese newspaper Environment Times accused him of “kneeling to Japan.

The South Korean Foreign Ministry also expressed its displeasure with the Chinese criticism, calling it “too rude and arrogant. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea also expressed its displeasure with the Chinese criticism, saying that it was “too rude and arrogant.” The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea also lodged a strong protest with the Kankyo Jiho, which described the president as having “the lowest sense of independence toward the United States in history. China is sensitive to the growing unity between Japan and the United States. If President Yun deepens relations with Japan and the U.S., his criticism will become even more pointed.

China and South Korea were once said to have a “close, family-like relationship. It appears that the rift is gradually deepening due to changes in the international situation.
