The “princess” panda that caused panda fever in China is too cute!

On Chinese social networking sites, a single panda occupies the top search ranking every day.

She is the only one who is different.

It looks like a dumpling turned into a panda.

I search for images every day. I search for images every day.

The “princess” that the Chinese public is crazy about is He Hua, a 2-year-old female panda born in July 2008 at a giant panda breeding and research base in China’s Sichuan Province.

He Hua is petite for a 2-year-old panda. Her round body is gaining popularity (image from Weibo, a Chinese social networking service. (Image from Weibo, a Chinese social networking site, courtesy of the account name “Xiong Neko Guo Yun”)

A signboard at the base, which welcomes tourists, says this about Wahua: “Short lower jaw and pointed nose.

Wahua has a short lower jaw, a pointed nose, a round body, and fluffy fur. She moves slowly and is not good at climbing trees.”

Waka is small and colonized, with a calm personality, and tends to be taken away by other pandas when eating. Wafuwa is always cared for by her keepers.

A writer with knowledge of the situation in China talks about Wahua’s popularity.

It may come as a surprise, but pandas are not very popular in China. Until about 10 years ago, most of the people who went to the breeding and research base to see the pandas were foreign tourists. Waka’s popularity is tremendous. She is at the top of the search rankings every day, and her Weibo fan community has more than 520,000 followers.

And now, not only online, but tourists from all over the country are rushing to the base to catch a glimpse of Wafa. Sichuan Province, where Weibo lives, is one of the country’s leading tourist destinations, with many world heritage sites and delicious cuisine. It would have been unthinkable in the past that people would travel to Sichuan not for sightseeing but just to see the pandas.”

Why do wagtails have such rounded bodies?

Wahua is said to be slow to develop. Waka’s hind legs are said to be slow to develop, and its chewing power is said to be weak. As a result, she is small in stature and slow in movement. Waka has a twin brother, but when he stands up, he is only as tall as his brother’s waist,…… and that is another point of his popularity.

Although he is developmentally delayed, he has no disabilities or major illnesses and is said to be in good health. We hope that he will grow up well under the watchful eye of the public.

In addition to her small body, one of her other characteristics is her bulging eyes (image from Weibo, a Chinese social networking service. (Image from Chinese social networking site Weibo, courtesy of account name “风雅摄影2018”)
