Moriyama and Lily Reveal their Views on Love Due to Their Soaring Popularity
The award-winning duo is getting a big break!
Lily said, “Someone was doing the app with the duo’s name and name in full, and it seems like an imposter, but it was him.”
Shintaro Moriyama, 36, of the popular comedian duo “Mimitorizu,” revealed the state of comedian matching apps at a matching app event held in Tokyo. He appeared in the talk session as a guest with his partner Lily (38).
At the event, the two were diagnosed on their relationship values. Moriyama was diagnosed as an optimistic type who wants to have an easygoing relationship with his girlfriend, while Lily was diagnosed as a straightforward type, who sees himself as himself and the other person as the other person.
The exposure of the “Mei Chizu,” who was ranked No. 2 in the “Breakthrough Comedians of the First Half of 2022,” is increasing. Last year, he appeared as a regular on “Lavit!” (TBS), and he also has a program in the Kansai region. Last year, he made 180 round trips between Tokyo and Osaka on the Shinkansen bullet train.
Kageyama Takahiko, a columnist and director of the Japan Laughter Society, explains.
He says, “It is the same pattern as ‘Chidori’ and ‘Kamaitachi’ to start from scratch in Tokyo and be successful while having an established track record in Kansai. I am sure that “Omikazuchi” will be next in line. They have been on stage as many times as they can, so they are outstanding in that they can get laughs from everyone, young and old, male and female.
One thing in common between “Chidori” and “Kamaitachi” is that they have not won the “M-1” competition. This year will be their last challenge in their 15 years in the industry.
