Freelance announcer Akiko Kuji has been creating a stir by showing her very beautiful apron as a young wife on her own Instagram account.

Kuji showed a photo of herself in the kitchen. She is wearing an orange apron over a gray striped shirt and her hair pulled back. Next to Kuji is model Shiori Sato.

Kuji was born in Iwate Prefecture in 1994. After graduating from Aoyama Gakuin University, she joined Fuji Television in 2017, where she made her mark in her first year, taking charge of the signature program “Kujipan.” From April 2019, she became the main anchor on “Mezamashi Saturday.” However, she gave up on her announcing career after only five years and became a freelancer in May 2022.
Kuji worked as a model before joining Fuji. While freelance announcers are the standard when it comes to station announcers and after leaving the company, it seems that the scope of her activities is not limited to freelance announcers alone. Her activities as a model and TV personality are also highly anticipated. She also has 460,000 followers on Instagram, and is expected to be active as an influencer.
In May, Kuji announced her marriage to Yuta Watanabe of the NBA Toronto Raptors. He posted on Instagram about her situation in the U.S. for a while immediately after the marriage report, causing speculation such as, migrating to U.S. after marriage. This time, Kuji was probably taken when Watanabe recently returned to Japan to attend a game. She is now back in the U.S. and living in the U.S. again.
