 One morning in late July at Ueno Station, in the midst of the commuter rush, a man was seen on the deck in front of the station with a white T-shirt tucked into his pants. He is actor Kento Yamazaki (27).

 Yamazaki was filming for the Sunday drama series &#8220;Atom no Ko&#8221; (TBS), in which he will star, starting in October. He got into the mood by adjusting his shirt and stretching his arms before getting into his standing position. When he got the OK at the first shot, he was happy to show his guts.
 Yamazaki is currently in a state of continuous gut-punching, both in public and in private life. The movie in which he plays the lead role, &#8220;Kingdom 2: To the Faraway Land,&#8221; is expected to be a hit, surpassing its predecessor with box-office revenues of 2.2 billion yen in its first 10 days of release.
 Yamazaki&#8217;s approach to his roles is very sincere. Masaki Suda once mentioned Yamazaki&#8217;s name as the most interesting actor of his generation. He is reputed to have matured even further with The Kingdom.
