Why Kei Tanaka Appeared on the Bridge With Long Hair with a Hat and Coat
Kei Tanaka (38) has become such a successful actor that not a day goes by that he is not seen on TV since his breakout role in “Osan Zurubu. He is currently in the midst of filming “Shinigami-san 2,” a Hulu original drama scheduled to be released in September. The drama is about a lone detective, played by Tanaka, who takes on the challenge of investigating a false accusation.
In early July, we witnessed the filming of this movie in Itabashi Ward. He was talking to a man who appeared to be playing a businessman on a bridge, but the man turned on his heel and left the scene.
Tanaka’s character reminds me of Fukuzo Mokuro from “Laughs” with his gloomy way of speaking, his hunched back, and the hat he wears …… on his head. During the first series, Tanaka played this unique character with great skill, and director Yukihiko Tsutsumi praised his performance. Tanaka himself had been eagerly awaiting a sequel, and this time his performance is even more polished,” said a source in the entertainment industry.
Tanaka, who has often played roles that are “funny,” “refreshing,” or “timid,” will surely show his dark heroic side in this film.
