Celebrity couple Shun Oguri (39) and Yu Yamada (38) have welcomed their fourth child. The congratulations were reported in “Post Seven” on July 27. The baby was born in April of this year.
Mr. Oguri and Ms. Yamada announced their marriage 10 years ago in March 2012; their first child was born in October 2002, their second in September 2004, and their third in June 2008. Their eldest daughter, born in 2002, is only 7 years old. With the birth of their fourth child, parenting will be even more difficult.
However, they are doing a good job of raising their child. Mr. Oguri, who plays the leading role of Hojo Yoshitoki in the NHK historical drama “Kamakuradono no 13-nin,” always takes time out of his busy schedule to play with his children. Yamada also gets up early every morning to make lunch boxes and do housework,” says a source close to the entertainment production company.
Oguri and Yamada started dating 14 years ago, and after four years of dating, they reached the goal. There was a time when their relationship was strained, as reported in a women’s weekly magazine that Oguri “took home a beautiful woman at a blind date,” but according to a source, they are now happily married.
Onomichi “secret trip
FRIDAY” has often reported on the lovey-dovey state of the two. In May 2008, FRIDAY reported a “secret trip” to Onomichi, Hiroshima, shortly after they started dating, and in May 2010, it published a photo of them on a “driving date” in a luxury car on Omotesando in Tokyo. We would like to look back on Oguri and Yamada’s close friendship.
It was in the middle of Golden Week when we spotted them in an American car. Since it was the middle of the vacations, there were not many cars on the street. At the wheel of the car was Oguri, wearing sunglasses. Yamada was smiling happily from the passenger seat.
Since that time, they have often been seen dining together amicably at a restaurant in Tokyo, and Yamada commuting to Oguri’s apartment. They even went on a Hatsumode (New Year’s visit) to a shrine famous for matchmaking. From the beginning of their relationship, Mr. Yamada seemed to have decided that he was the one he would marry. Although there were frequent reports of Mr. Oguri’s infidelity, Ms. Yamada assured those around her, “I’m fine. I don’t have to worry about it,’ he told everyone around him.
The couple is also enthusiastic about their children’s education.
In the summer of 2007, the couple moved to Los Angeles, California, so that Mr. Oguri could try his hand at making a Hollywood movie. The original plan was to stay only for nine months, but due to the spread of the new coronavirus, the stay was extended to July 2008. Living in an environment different from Japan seems to have been a great stimulus for the children,” said a reporter in charge of entertainment for a sports newspaper.
Oguri and Yamada are expanding their activities overseas. With the addition of a new family member, it seems likely that they will lead an even more fulfilling life.
